Have done a total teardown of my 78 engine, and during the assembling, I realise that I have done a poor job documenting hoselines. On top of the watermanifoil, there is the warm-up valve. There are three smal hoses (see picture) that should be connected someplace, but I do not know where.
Connects just below vacuum inhibitor, or large-capped-off-ports for a VH if you have an auto, it is the large port just behind a small port on the left side of the throttl body...just follow my screwdriver...it is pointing to the port.
Yes, I suck at taking pictires...lol.
One more...please be patient...this tablet is about to eat lead...if it doesn't start working right.
If you offering bed and breakfast, I may take you up on your offer:-)) But it would be pretty long travel to say at least. I live in Norway.
Hopefully, the engine is going back in a few days, but I expect to run into trouble
sooner or later - Its seems to be the laws of good progress.
Now, after some thought about your location (Norway)...that first hose mentioned, the one I said would be located under the engine bay crossmember on the left (while standing in front of the car)...yours may be on the right...since your car is probably right-hand-drive, correct? I'm not sure what side of the road you folks drive on over there?
Also, I had no intentions of you coming here to pull my engine, that would be to much to ask, my plan was too drive to Norway...then I checked a map...so I guess that's out of the question...lol.
I have another "where is this hose connecting" question.
On the left side, there is a pretty big hose that should be connecting to somewhat. Sorry for asking this, since my documentation of my ealier engine teardown, surley lacking pictures, and I admit I am not the engine nerd that I want to be. Maybe this would be self-explanatory later in the engine build up, but I suspect this one should be connected to something obvious that I have overlooked.
There is no hose that connects to that port, that port is for the intake of air...for the air cleaner/filter housing. The hose you have stuck on there...looks like the coolant hose that runs from the inner fender, passenger side or left looking at the engine compartment from the front, to the thermostat housing.
There is a port that comes off the bottom of the air cleaner housing for the air-pump that connects to the air pump itself. The hose comes off the lower port, makes a forty-five upward about five inches then makes another forty-five and connects to the top port on the air-pump. The hose is about ten inches long, total, and is a larger diameter than the one you are showing in your picture.
