Correct observation, however, I have since reverted back to the 1988 MY correct fixed wing. So no more need for the film.

Cool, now put that rare folding wing in storage, give it a good moisturize then wrap it up.

Thanks for the posts about the PP film. Makes me feel better to know my proposed fix was the factory solution, just by luck! I was surprised there wasn't something like that there, it seemed like something Porsche would have put on to me.

They did - I bought a set of new factory teflon stickers years ago for my 87.

Left side - 928 512 223 02
Right side - 928 512 224 02

While you're at it, if you're missing the folding wing stickers then odds are they were removed during painting, and you're probably also missing the teflon stickers for the edges of the rear hatch where the rubber "guide wedge" goes - 928 512 531 02. Another common source of squeaks where the rubber wedge rubs against the frame.
