...If the seller is still telling you it is a 5 speed, ask them to get in the car drive it for 30 seconds and send you the video showing them shifting the gears.

There should be a stamped I.D. plate pop riveted to the nose of the car just above the hood latch receptacle.---presuming it hasn't been fed a tree and had the nose replaced. LOL

Only on some market cars, not all of them. For example Japanise cars do not have it. There is even option code for that sticker which should be present in late MY cars if it was put in at the production line.
