Default Techron

I know that the PTFE based oil additives are bad but what are your opinions on using the Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner for the 928?

Chevron is the only fuel additive that Porsche recomends, at all, so it can't be bad.

Chevron with Techron has been reported to some major improvements on various cars, includeing 928s.

If your haveing EFI issues, it's worth a shot.

Techron goes great with vodka, and a hint of lime.

Chevron is the ONLY gas I ever use (Unless in a pinch or at the track) - As as matter of fact - I bought a quart of their 10w40 motor oil ,today, for the first time @ 2.09 a quart. Can't tell you anything else than that.

What I can tell you, is that when I changed my plugs, I did a visual of my pistons - One word describes it all ---- CLLLEEEEAAAANNNN.

You can't go wrong w/Chevron Products.

Techron is great stuff. I use it regularly without issue. You might also try sea foam it is supposed to be very good.

I only use Chevron in my three vehicles. The Shark gets a bottle of techron every couple of months.

Go out to a drag strip. Ask the kid with baggy jeans next to the turbocharged Civic what is in his tank. Then find the 40 something with a pony tail and a '70 Chevelle with a "496" under the hood what he has in the tank.

Then find scrawny Normy out there with his 928. I'm in baggy jeans and a T-shirt that says something rude too, but I keep my hair pretty normal [well, I dye it because I'm getting sooo gray!], and I wear earrings occasionally. Sniff my tank? What's in there?

The answer will be the same....Chevron.

N!

Rufus- there's nothing wrong with lusting about the boy's 996. Just make sure you keep your 928-
