That's got the common (outside the USA) 2.63 final drive, not the 2.20.

All RoW manual S4's have the 2.63 final ratio, which was used only on the '89 in the USA.

Nice trans however - you'll probably get a few PM's from people in the USA interested, where its hard to find

If you still have the transmission and want to sell it drop me a line.

Regardless of that my deal has been stalled regarding the transmission out of New York. It still might happen but I think with the history it will be a spare.

So I still need a good to very good S4 manual transmission with 2.20 rear end.

I also require a automatic 2.20 ring and pinion. Preference is to obtain the manual transmission on the west coast as the shipper can palletise in LA. On other sea ports the parts need to be crated.

I have an 88 manual trans here. Came out of a friend of mines car that had a small engine fire. I put the engine in one of my cars, and the trans is on the shelf. Its an open diff, but being an 88 is got the 2.2 in it. I am in the midwest though, so may not be your best option.

Hey Hans,

I don't have many options at present, not that I have to do a deal instantly as my other transmission parts have now left the United States. I have no idea of the cost of shipping to L.A.

Please tell me a bit more about the transmission like the mileage and how did it drive beforehand.

The seller I was dealing with has changed his mind and now is not selling the transmission, so I am still chasing a 2.20 S4 transmission preferably near L.A.

Also an auto set of 2.20 gears all must be in very good to excellent condition

Thanks
