DoubleNutz,
I see by your avitar and your signature line that you are a person of the er, ah, "other" persuasion.
On the other hand, you seem to know a lot about the 928.
I take it you are either a lapsed 928er, or you are a wannabe and are just hanging around "up" here with the "better class" of folks hoping to "pass" for one of us.

OK I have found the color code= 1991-1995 Porsche color code number 82H- Coral Red Metallic

OK, I actually really like that color quite a bit.

AND YES- I could see an African American brutha such as myself parading down main street getting those looks like I should be drive'n it with a a big droopy hat equipped with a peacock feather, shoes on the clutch pedal with goldfish tanks in them, and a license plate that reads "HUGYBEAR"!

And a mouth full of gold teeth when I smile like this ->

They should have put Tubbs in that one! I love the color and parts of the styling. The whole package is a bit questionable....but hey...it was the '80s

No not really, I am completely ready to step back into a 95 GTS (have been since I purchased my 993Cabriolet a few years ago). Problem is- I want to drive as new a Porsche as I can and the 928 is obviously not being manufactured by Porsche anymore. I also love AWD, I don't want a restored one or one that has been trashed and repackaged, and I don't want BLACK. So until I find "the one" I still need a relatively new Porsche to drive.

If I am lucky ( I mean REALLY lucky) I will wait for the last one that came to America to come up for sale again and I will be there to buy it or at least a really sweet one that is unadulterated. Of course if Porsche builds another front engine V8 coupe, I guess you know what I am buying then ...especially if available with AWD and PSM. I would even strongly consider the M5 crushing sedan that Porsche announced.

I'm not so surprised the under-hood area is so stock, I know a guy locally has one that is all show on the outside, but a filthy mess under the hood. Me? I'd rather have my oxidizing ol' bugger with a nice CLEAN engine bay...

what's with all those buttons on the steering wheel center???

The color appears to be Kiln Red (POR 811) -- which happens to be the color of my 928. Just the right amount of red and the right amount of orange. The color always draws nice comments.

Oh yea, think that is bad,,, wut bout dis

Whats wrong with it? I'd drive that boxster. Looks like M&M green. Check out the GT2 seats. The RUF wheels are nice too. Seen those on a 928 at SITM this year.

Cool ruf

It has Ruf wheels and seats because it IS a Ruf. Look at the badge on the front. The latest iteration of the Ruf-Boxster is better.

Wow, that Gemballa really shows how times have changed. It'll all come back around, though. You'll see. When I was a kid with a fresh driver's license in the late '80s, you couldn't give a 914 away. There was a nice, rust-free early 914 (4) for sale near me and I couldn't muster the $600 to buy it. Likewise with a basket-case (but again, rust-free) '67 MGB. I think a couple hundred would have bought it. Now that everyone is looking back at the '70s with the rose-colored glasses, the neat cars from that era are suddenly really valuable. It'll happen with this one too.
