Shocks are like oil - everyone has an opinion.
My opinion is that Koni and Bilstein are sport shocks and as such ride quality suffers but handling is slightly better.
Boge shocks were fitted to the 928 as standard and Porsche knew what they were doing.

If more people drove in a brand new, 100% stock 928 it would be easier to appreciate what the factory equipment feels like.
I've read for years that after 75k - 100k miles, a typical shock has lost a noticeable amount of dampening ability. How true that is, I have no idea...but something to take into account when making a to-do list for your 928.
Like Jim Bailey always says: The best performance upgrade is making sure everything is 100% as the factory intended it to be. "Fix" the car before upgrading it.
How many 928 owners feel the need for stiffer springs / shocks to make their car handle better while all the rubber bushings are worn out?
Excellent deal, I'm shocked they are not all gone already.

I love the ride of the Boge over the stiffer Reds on the GT. I find the GT ride a bit jarring and the S4 ride very nice for long drives. If you spend 80% of your time on the track, I guess sport shocks would be worth it, but for day to day spirited driving the Boge is very nice.

I think part of the problem and confusion is so many 928 owners are driving around with worn shocks that are soft and they feel the need to "upgrade" when they replace them.
