Yes just to add 2 cents, I bought my 88 S4 back in 2010 for $14K, it had 135K miles on or so and very few issues cosmetic or otherwise. All things wrong were minor, nothing big like A/C. Mind you, in the California region my impression is that these cars fetch a higher coin. Mine was appraised easily at $15.2K based on comps for insurance purposes. It is by no means a mint condition vehicle.
I think your price is reasonable *if everything works* (more or less). I've rarely seen a 928 on which literally *everything* works but you know what I mean. The sunroof should open and close. The windows should go up and down. The power seats should (mostly) adjust in every direction. The leather seats should be in very nice condition, wear is OK but no tears please. The dashboard is always cracked anyway so screw that. The odometer should function. The wipers and washer system should function.
I keep reading stuff about values going up on these cars (in the rag mags), but then on this forum they just don't budge. What's up with that?
*Edit* OMG I just noticed yours is a manual too! So based on my purchase price and appraisal your price *in California* is more than reasonable, it's too low.

I haven't posted anywhere else.
I would like to sell my beautiful car to someone that loves and appreciates the Porsche 928 and will enjoy driving it and take care of it.
Should I post other places?
Any suggestions?

Joe - At the $12K price it will be gone very soon if you follow Hacker's advice. But, it won't necessarily end up in the hands of someone who really "appreciates the 928 and will enjoy driving it and take care of it." If you give the car full exposure in multiple classifieds, I'd go up to your original price and hope to get more than your current asking price.
I do agree that when posting a car for sale in the forum it is good form to offer it at the lowest price you are willing to take with the full laundry list of what it needs, etc. Others have done the same. I like your car. If it were close I'd probably have already been over to see it and drive it.

Ok, here are some more pictures of my 1987 Porsche 928 S4 as promised (finally….)
People wanted to see pictures of the interior.
Sorry it took so long to get them posted.

Looks like a good car, but like someone said, the odds of tripping across someone here on RL who's currently looking for one like it is limited ... fish with a net, not with a pole as my old buddy used to say!

New Price - Make me an offer
Ok, I previously dropped the price from $15k to $12k but the beautiful car still hasn't sold.
I'm not going to pick another number so make me an offer.
If you are interested and would like to talk to me about the car please call me at 312-969-1017.
I'm on the west coast so please take into account the Pacific timezone when calling.
If I can't answer your call for some reason, please leave me a message and I will return the call.
Thanks,
Joe

Joe - it takes more than 10 days to sell one of these cars, especially here where we all already have one. Don't be desperate, but put it out there in the usual places, and wait for the right buyer. Don't give it away. It is too nice for that. Also, as we start to move into fall, it will take longer to sell. Spring is when the buyers come out in droves.
