This explains a lot. Noticed a web-like-backing in a tiny spot where the "leather/fake-vinyl" is missing. Kind of thought it was weird for a cow to have such a thing...lol. Thank you, for the correct information. This may also explain why the 84's seats are just a tad bit more comfortable.

Not to mention for some odd reason builders up here do not always put down a proper vapor barrier under their concrete. I suspect this with my 2nd garage.

The "cocooning" part I pull up the plastic and tape it to the car cover just to get it out of the way.
Basically do the same, since my car lives in a similar climate, however, I add cardboard beneath the plastic, full length of the car. Kind of works as a waffle barrier/insulator from the cement.
