I have had this 88 928 for 27 years I should no the color

I have a few spots I want yo touch up and being slightly color blind I am having issues ordering dye

I know it is not Silver Grey

Ordered that and to dark

I have narrowed it down to Linen or Raspberry

I think linen

Ordering Monday so any he,p would be much appreciated

My seats were shot (still are) but they look 1000% better, and, you can get the dye sample-matched if you're not sure. The Lady who owns the company is great to work with too!

I was going to use Leatherworld Tech out of VA

They are the ones that sent me the silver grey which I thought was the right color

It was not

Was going to try Linen next but maybe it's Raspberry

Those are greys for '87-95 MY leather seats which PET knows.

 

Here is a pic after I had finished all the leather with ColorPlus color 0438 which is the BMW light silver grey. It was slightly lighter than the original color I had which was the same as yours. I didn't mind because I was doing all the interior leather to lighten it up. Joanne at ColorPlus said if I wanted I could add some of her black to it to get the exact match if I wanted, but I liked the idea of the lighter grey. To note I also changed all my carpet to black for that light color was impossible to completely clean.

Add: if you are doing spot work and choose to use ColorPlus (that I would recommend), talk to Joanne. She sent me a small amount of white and black for free to try to get the exact match if I wanted it.

Looking in PET, the stock leather colours for seats which are a possible match are:

UD4 Silver Grey (which you've ruled out)
TW1 Linen (used up to '90)
LG5 Champagne (used up to '88)

Unless the colour on your camera is way off, it looks to me like Linen. If you search the forum for the codes, you'll find pics of each colour.

 

Linen is a very light beige/tan color and does not look grey. I have Linen interior in my 1989 Cab. Perhaps it is the lighting, but yours does not look like Linen from that angle. Perhaps you can post more pictures.

Here is a shot with some silver grey dye to show contrast

No worries I removed it quickly when I saw it was not going to dry and lighten up

Your color really looks a lot like the Light Silver Grey I got from ColorPlus. The silver grey you applied there looks like the original color I had on my seats. See my resultant seat color above with the light silver grey. You can see the comparison with the driver's door placard I had not yet treated.
