S4 power steering hose routing

S4 power steering hose routing
Hey guys, I'm just about to wrap up a motor mount & steering rack replacement on my '87 s4. Does anyone know the factory routing for:
928 347 447 05 - (pressure line)
928 347 449 07 - (return line)
the return line has a yellow holder on the lh engine compartment, my question is this: what is the routing of the two lines going to the rack and main branch of the harness running to the starter? Which line is closest to the sheetmetal? Which line is next to the harness branch? Do both hard lines go into the yellow holder? My hard lines look like they are touching each other and the lh engine compartment. The correct lines are attached to the correct orifices but I am unsure of the positioning of the lines. I really need picture of the factory routing from somebody knowledgeable.
Thanks!!

Not sure if this helps you. Took this picture before dissembling to do my rack.

you should be able to figure this out from this picture.
FWIW when I am working with the rack and need to move these lines I unscrew the clamp on the fenderwell about 2 1/2 turns the clamp will still hold the lines but they can slide in the clamp,
if you remove the lines they are difficult to install due to limited working area.
NOTE on early cars make sure the line that connects to the rear of the pump isnt pressed against the top of the cam tower, as this will cut the line over time.
Also make sure the line outer sheathing is covering the crimp area,
reason for this is if the crimp starts leaking,
the sheathing will rout the oil down the line instead of possibly spraying onto the ex manifold

Glad it helps. Sorry, don't have a pic of that spot. Dwayne may have one in his motor mount tutorial.

I'm sure I have a pic of the plastic clamp somewhere (both lines clipped into it), but meantime here is a pic from my motor mounts job of the lines fixed to the crossmember, showing the starter motor harness.

Thanks for the support all, my car came with the later 07 index pressure line - so this is the one that I had the hydraulic shop rebuild. It isn't possible to clip an 07 index pressure and an 07 index return into the line-stay (23 shown above) on an '87 s4. The 07-pressure line still still fits so I will be running with this and keeping an eye on it. Now that I know exactly what the issue is I'll be looking to support the line on the firewall with another line stay or moving the existing line stay to another location.

That must be RHD, thanks for the pic though. What mounts did you use?

Yup RHD - sorry should have realised that would be less useful for you as the rack connections are different position.
I wimped out and went for Porsche mounts! Was first time motor mount job, so I didn't want the possible extra consideration of bending safety fingers or heatshields to address issues that can come up with taller Volvo mounts. The square section at top of Porsche mounts also makes them easy/automatic to align on the crossmember.
Now with experience of all the other parts of the MM job I may go Volvo next time - the Porsche mounts are notorious for early collapse anyway!
My S4 is a 1991, so has the later return and pressure lines albeit RHD. They fit fine into the clamp which also changed for 91. I previously had a 1988 and remember noticing the clamp design was different.
Maybe a cheap solution is to just buy the 91- clamp and shim parts, 23 and 24 on the parts diagram?
