Porsche Parade Pics
It was a fun week. The event was well run and the resorts were very nice. Rain the week prior necessitated moving the concours from the soaked grass on the driving range to inside, so kudos to all who made that happen on short notice. I think we had 8-9 Sharks in attendance in various capacities.
The '74 914 LE Creamsicle is just like my first Porsche (albeit in a little bit better shape - and the car featured in a recent Hemming's S&EC issue)... should have kept that one.
Last pic in this group is Wolfgang across from Pete Stout. With his back to the camera is Wolfgang's youngest son, 19yo Felix. When asked what kind of car he drives, he said a VW Golf... but since last summer, he switched to a 993 Turbo. I never got a chance to chat with him about his aspirations, but I assume he'll be working for the family business.

The pano shot is from the PCA 60th Anniversary Museum room. Lots of great historical items there and a cool display.
Also... got Wolfgang and son Felix to sign the back of my (2nd in class) concours trophy, so maybe it'll be worth something someday.

They unveiled the first Cayman GT4 in the US.
They also announced that they'll be raffling off the last available (of 60) 991 Club Coupe, no purchase/ticket required. They'll draw a PCA membership number and that's who'll win.

Seen three of those cars in person, including George's. All top notch. That blue '78 would be great for Carmel. One owner with 14,000 miles.

Carrera Abarth, 230K mile '78, and the 911 that comes from Alaska every year. I saw it later without the tape... it cleans up pretty well.

This is the room where the wine tasting event was held at the West Baden Resort. Both places had architecture like this.... very nice.
Dunno who's face that is floating in the middle of the pic by the bar... he must've walked into the picture when I was panning my phone.... or maybe something paranormal...

Thanks!
As Greg Heinrichs (owner of the 230K mile '78) mentioned in the other thread, there was a special anniversary display called 60 4 60, one car per year from 1955 to 2015, which we were both fortunate enough to be part of.
They provided this display board for us with the year we represented, which had PCA stats and Porsche and national news of the year and a pic and writeup about our cars from info we sent them... very nice... as was the special grill badge.

I did not. The Porsches had a family friend with them from Germany, so I thought that was him. Guess not. Looks like Buzz Kanter from a Google image search tho.
