Here is the product...DURAFLEX Duraflex FRP Porsche 928 G-Sport Wing Trunk Lid Spoiler - 3 Piece 1987
and a pic
I like the idea (low profile, paint to match), but don't know if this area is different depending on the model year? basically it attaches on the lower hatch lip and under the rear quarter glass.
Thank you--
1982 no spoiler currently

That's a pre-87 spoiler, of the type fitted to the earlier S models and those with the "competition package" at least in the US. It pairs with a front lower lip spoiler with brake cooling ducts.
The factory '87+ rear spoiler is a low-mounted wing barely wider than the hatch width. It attaches with two studs on each side, with nuts in formed recesses at the sides of the hatch. Pre-S4 hatches don't have the formed recesses, so need a little creative metal work to allow them to attach the same way to the earlier lids.

Converting your hatch and rear quarter windows to accommodate that spoiler would be very tricky and very expensive. I did a spoiler delete on my 83 many years ago. Had I known all that was involved I would not have done it.
The 87+ spoiler can be attached to the 82 with a drill and a Dremel.

Thanks...but
Yes, my 1982 doesn't have nor appears to have ever had a spoiler on rear or front for that matter.
I realize the early cars had the 3 piece and the later cars had the "wing". However, this particular product from Duraflex looks like the early spoiler ( without the long pieces that are part of the center portion), but the description on several vendor sites specify that it is for the 87+ version. I want to think that the manufacturer is wrong, but don't want to get stuck with it if it won't fit the contours of my 1982.

This picture is of one that has that spoiler removed. Notice the rubber gasket on the rear quarter windows. It has an extra little wing that rides under the spoiler. On the rear hatch you notice that the window trim is only used on the top. Both side and the bottom have small wedge shaped spacers (barely visible in pic), a bolt/screw comes from the interior, through that spacer, into the spoiler. A non S hatch would need to be drilled out to accept those bolts (16?)
Anything is doable, but this might not be that good of an idea.

Note too the holes attachment points just below the rubber at the bottom of the 1/4 window...means drilling holes in the painted 1/4 panels. Once done there is no easy way to go back to stock....

one more try
Thanks for all the info...I realize what is involved with removing and/or adding an OEM spoiler or wing to a 928. Personally, wouldn't add either of the original versions (don't like the black 3 piece sponge nor the painted wing type).
What I really need to know is whether or not the area where an aftermarket 3 piece spoiler would fit is different between an OB and a later model 928...this would be the area below the hatch glass and between the quarter window glass and the rear valence). Thank you

You may want to swing by the shop up in Alpharetta, Garage 928. They have several models to look at and get an idea of how these spoilers attach. The y have an 85 with the side spoilers removed so you can see the holes that James was referring to and see how the rubber window trim is designed differently from what you have on your 82. Good guys to get to know if you are local.
I have heard of some folks using an Audi TT spoiler but I have never seen it in person and have no advice on install.
