Mark, The Fun Run on Saturday Afternoon like last year was a great idea! Lets all check our brakes and get ready to enjoy that burning smell again! Oh and lets watch out for idiots in mustangs hitting the guard rail.

It was a great idea..but _killed_ the event really.

It works best Sunday Morning, IMHO.

Everyone shows up for a few hours, and after lunch the oxygen gets pulled out of it.

In 2013 it was done on Sunday. Very few went. Last year it was on Saturday late afternoon and it capped the event. Many people went and enjoyed. And for those that have to travel to get home a fun run on Sunday is out of the question. Ask the guy that had a breakdown on the run. If the run were Sunday he would have been pipped.

No, it beheaded the event that many traveled handfulls of hours for, and that's just the "local" people.

I don't get the idea myself, of LA traffic for a crowded bonzo run in the hills where someone's gonna bend something eventually -vs- hanging out with friends from all over the western US.

Because then there was also no evening dinner, with a big chunk of people MIA with times to return unknown...wasn't many people left.

It's not my event, but..I dont think it's an event thing..and shouldn't compete with the event.

But you're still OK if you do.

When the people that did the fun run arrive back at the end point for the dinner which was across the street from 928 international the restaurant was packed with people from the event so I'm not sure what you're referring to.

What ever Mark and the Crew plan I'm in. Saturday was great, Sunday Ill run too. I loved the fun up in the hills. I even went back last spring and ran the same route again just because it was fun. I live 5 hours away, but as most, the ride to and from and the driving the car is fun too. I cant wait!! My son has been asking me about sharkfest for a couple of months already!

The best fun run I ever went on was my first Sharktoberfest in 2007. It's the one that there's a video of. That was a Saturday afternoon run, and it left early enough in the afternoon that most people hadn't left already. There were something like 30 cars, and it was awesome. Except for the guy that almost went over the edge. The Sunday runs haven't been even close to as successful. In fact, I've already made plans for Sunday.

I really look forward to the fun run this year. It's what I upgraded my brakes for so I don't have to worry about boiling fluid like someone last year .

It was nice to drive on a Saturday afternoon as the weather wasn't too bad and I think most people would have left for their homes on a Sunday morning.

Can't wait to see a few familiar faces this year and get some more parts for the mistress.

Maybe I shouldn't be in front on the fun run?

Rob,

Playing catch up was fun! And I added 18" Carrera wheels and rebuilt my brakes and brake lines this year. So I'm looking forward to it.

I think you should be in front like last time.

It was nice having some one else get all of the attention from the cops when we blasted through the hills.

I thought that was the job of the "sweeper" at the back...

Yeah, thanks for all the idiot points guys! I was worried about my tranny and forgot all about the old brake fluid. The tail of Rob's car was never actually in danger, and I appreciate everyone's kindness in my moment of D'OH.

Rebuilt, new pads, steel lines, and hi-temp fluid... working much better this year.
