Not sure what a bad TPS would do but you can test it with a voltmeter.

Also, it needs to be well adjusted.

Are you sure the connection is good and well connected?

The connection was good at both ends prior to removing it yesterday at he outside of the intake, since it only goes in one way because of the moulded plastic and just pulling on it would not come out since the square c clip held it in place. Good observation Bertrand it could have been, but because I don't like to do a job twice those are things i always make sure are fine.

As far as the adjustment that is one thing I will have to confirm somehow, but I made sure not to move it at all since I did not want to go through this adjustments.

I will check that link you gave me, I gather it's for the voltage check, so I can make sure it's doing it's job.
