Let's see what the market says. While none f us seem to be willing to step up as "investors", that hardle means we can't watch to see how this plays out. Last I looked, he was up to a few $k bid, still far from his reserve though. Gotta have enough to pay those backers, plus the work done there at the campsite to make it run perfectly.

Well isn't that interesting. A internet rag labelled 'flatsixes' reviews: A 912, which left the factory with a four banger, a 956, also a four banger, a 914, yet another 4 banger(in this incarnation with 4 bolt hubs and wheels), for our consumption a V8 water cooled, and finally, eventually they got around to an actual flat six engine in the Cayman.

Since they were - completely out to lunch on the V8 selection, and mostly out to lunch on the 914 selection(the trans will asplode with modest Buick V8 torque, ask me how I know), I'm figuring they are also clueless about the other selections. However, I will withhold my shameful lack of knowledge on those models. If the writer thinks there's money to be made on the V8, by all means, step up and bid to win. lol.....

I'm just loving the Winnebago film set with the curtains and studio lighting flashlight clipped to the back of the chair... Very David Lynch... in fact, all the details; the damp slightly crumpled suits, tall dark pines and shifty monologues, pay homage to Twin Peaks.

However, I'm curious... What mechanical work has been done on the car, EXACTLY? I know the "investors" are not mechanics... But WHAT progress other than forcing her to start with a fire extinguisher at hand with a trusty flashlight at 2am, has been done? Investors in all things like progress reports, so they can foresee a return on investment... otherwise they get skittish. A detailed hard-copy report on work done thus far might have kept them in the game, as even I cannot tell if anything really got done just by watching the videos...

Default I guess he couldn't export the car to China

Call me crazy, but I think the sad little car he is selling has potential for the right price, but the description is so damned KOOKY and considering the history here; I just can't look. He answered a question on the Ebay listing that seems absolutely out of the realm of my mentality. I'm sure he is a nice guy, or perhaps even a crazy genius that is just so far and above what I can even hope to ever comprehend or understand. Anyway, I thought it was a kwerky if not humorous listing. And hey, the car seems like a good starting point for someone. Sad dash, and not the interior I lust for (in that MY), but really a nice starter project for someone if it goes for like 3 -3.5 bills in my opinion.

And Is that a stick holding up the rear hatch or some sort of mind trick illusion to entice investors?

I just feel sorry for the car, the headlights in that half up position kind of tell me that the car really want's to get out of that yard in a bad way.

His response is...

Interesting.

Default The Deliverance 928

I know this has been covered to death here but if you really look at the pictures, I think this qualifies as the Deliverance 928.

Start your banjos

Of course, Max Headroom... err, I mean Mr. Export It to China, might post a video rebuttal.

But I'll stay entertained looking at the pictures on EBAY for now of the trailer, the cardboard, the gravel, the windows on the ground and the 1960's pool at center of the motor court.

Sorry folks, long day and looking for humor wherever I can find it.

He also dropped the "I could sell it in China for" price from $100k to $50k. Of course, he was going to do a repaint and interior for $4k.

I also love how he says you could swap a "modern V-8 from a Panamara or Cayman" (pretty sure he's confused that with a Cayenne). Too bad it's virtually impossible - the 4.8 is too tall for the hood to close.

I just know that this car will end up in a Rennlister's hands and become an even bigger legend than it currently is.

I've sent a three party check, drawn on my Central Namibian bank of Africa, post-dated, written on a napkin in chartreuse crayola. I expect delivery of the car shortly.
