Perhaps some of the local hemp fields burned down locally? From the first post I could not understand what OP was thinking.
Good news is that Minerva was in waaaaayyy better shape and still basically needed everything, so assuming no rust this car's current condition is irrelevant for a buyer seeking a full restoration.
But money making venture? certainly not in the short term... Ask me how I know, lol!

By far...the most hilarious write-up ever written on ebay.
Heck, just the providence of this guy once owning the car is enough to tempt me into bidding. I mean hell...ya get a $1,500.00 radio in the deal...and a chance to sell it in China for hundreds on thousands on dollars someday...what's not to like about this deal.
Brian.

This forum has gone from a supportive environment to an old lady's complaining club.

Why, because no one was willing to indulge your delusions about the project? You were given a ton of advice and encouragement at the start, just like I was, just like everyone is. You apparently chose to ignore it all, so don't act so shocked.

It's one thing to be enthusiastic about our 928's and your 928 project. It's another thing to be delusional about it and make very outrageous comments and rambling videos. You sir, are way too out there in your thinking for most common sense owners here.

Is it not delusional owning these cars anyhow.

Not sure why you'd post in a forum of enthusiasts and not expect feedback. More delusions. Clearly, I am a raving Satanist. That must be the answer.
I don't view owning these cars as delusional at all, if you have a reasonable expectation of what you're going to get out of it. You have not had that, from day one. I'm sorry you couldn't see the car for what it is...a beautiful icon from the automotive past that could, with (possibly quite a lot of) time and money, be turned into a desirable driver. This was never going to be a flip-it-and-make-money kind of deal, and that should have been obvious.

In your own words, your OP you mentioned bringing this car back to concours/factory new. Right there I am with you as I am on the same journey. But then you mention investors, selling in China for big money, and generally how you will cover some money issues that I for one do not judge, and that changes the whole thing as it just seems unrealistic.
The last bit that led to comments to which you take issue are, once again, your own words, this time in your ad. If you say your ad represents the car fairly, others have the equal right to voice disagreement.
I hope this car finds a good home and is not lost, good luck.

Ah Wayne, you did say $100k for it. Whether you were talking about #73 79 or the Black/Black 85, you said if you and "your 10 investors" could get it to China "we could get $100 thousand dollars for it!!"
Open your video at 3:42. ........That's delusional talk.
I've been here at RL for 7 years. I've experienced nothing but support from everyone here. I've made great friends here too. Friends that I'm sure I'll have even if I don't have a 928 anymore. Check out the beginning of your threads. You received a lot of support until you turned way over the top.

Wayne, with all due respect, you come across as bat **** crazy. We are ribbing you. If you do not see that, then maybe you are bat **** crazy, in which case, I apologize for offending you (if I have). In any event, your scheme to get investors to help you put this car together and sell it in China is nothing short of bat **** crazy. Are you sensing a pattern here? We'd love to support you, in something that is not completely off the ranch.
Good luck with the sale. I hope it works out for you.
