Welcome to Rennlist and congratulations on the "new" car. It looks very nice.

Changing back to the factory wheels will most likely cure the tracking problem. Most other wheels don't have the right offset for the suspension geometry.

You should also invest in a new cover for the jump start post on the passenger side of the engine bay. The cover protects the critical 14 pin electrical connector that joins the front engine wiring harness to the main wiring harness from water.

I would also change the fuel lines if the history is unknown. More than one nice 928 has burned up from a fuel fire due to 25+ year old fuel lines leaking.

Has someone modified the crankcase ventilation system? The large diameter hose running between the cam covers looks like it is from the GTS breather system.

Michael- greetings!

You say the color is "rock green?" It looks like a graphite color to me. Stunning!

Very, Very cool color. Any pic's of the interior. I also have the 87 and have done extensive upgrades and improvements so as to have a maintenance baseline for future reference. There are a couple of "unique" issues that were on some 87 versions that are worth checking out. Number one is whether the factory used bolts or rivets to connect the rear plate to the torque converter.
If you start hearing a clicking noise at idle or when you shut the car off, more than likely you have rivets and will need to drill them out and replace with bolts.
Welcome to the tank look forward to see your progress.

Welcome and greetings from Sweden!

Congrats to a nice looking GT!

If you plan to sell the carbon fiber copy rear spoiler, I would be interested in buying it.

I hope you will have many wonderful years as a 928 owner to come.

Thanks

I actually prefer the look of the Gullideckel wheels to the 19"s. If it helps reduce track steer that is "a bingo"

I will try to source a cover for the 14 pin connector. Guess it is good preventative maintenance. Any good sources in Europe?

The fuel lines were replaced in connection with engine overhaul in 2011.

PO told me the breather system was changed - I never really understood why. Is it an improvement over the stock breather system?

I really like the color combo as well. My car is a manual.

Unfortunately, the "GT" is just badge tuning done by the PO after the engine upgrade. The badge is going off as well in the future.

I will hold on to the spoiler initially and see how it turns out. Think it will look nice on the wall in the garage....

Gothenburg is quite close to my place. Just across the "pond" more or less

My wife still does not want to accept it is green. Calls me colour blind.... She says it is grey. Depends a lot on the lighting which I really like.

Love the white piping on the seats, for some reason you don't see it much on USA cars. I am going to do the piping on my light grey seats, I think the contrast is great. What type of sound system is installed, and what type of music-groups do you normally have on the playlist while cruising.
Your 928 has some nice stablemates in the background as well.

I read that it was a S4, but by the time I saw the pictures I had already forgotten that.

Looks like a very nice car with all the right options (except the sunroof) and a nice color combo. Also nice with with some power upgrades

Welcome! Love the color combination and it looks like you had a Beautiful day in Denmark for pictures! You are going to enjoy driving her! I spent 8 months in Copenhagen in 1993 working with Kruger Engineering, drove over to the Jutland and worked in Aarhus, Esbjerg and a stop in Odense on way back. Unfortunately the only Danish I learned was én øl Tak!

Just do us all a favor and drive her!
