Default Nick/dent in new crank seal....

So will this be a problem. It is not a tear rather like something has been pressed to hard on the inner lip.

You can feel it with a finger....

If that were an axle seal or some other seal easily replaced I'd use it. But given the difficulty and time required to replace it I wouldn't risk using it. You look at the seal and it looks OK but the risk reward just doesn't add up.

Dont buy your stuff at rosepassion. Just a friendly piece of advice to the European Rennlisters. They are RUDE and have extremely poor customer service.

It's a mold inclusion. There was a foreign particle stuck to the molding face when it was made. Might be 10 of them, might be 3000. Should have been rejected but someone bought them and started selling them.

Don't use it. If they won't take it back you have to eat it I guess. Sorry.
