clear bra for grand prix white '89 S4?
I have recently purchased a '89 928 S4 with 1 yo new white paint job. Would you recommend a clear bra for a white car in general? I am looking at Xpel Ultimate that is pretty costly, ~$1700, for the entire front end-bumper-lights-mirrors. I know clear bra protects against rock chips, but would rock chips be as apparent as other colors and is it worth it?
Or would you recommend good sealant, multiple layers, and good detailing and wax?
Or the new nano coatings? Ceramic pro, opti-coat, vs Cquartz finest?
Thanks for all recommendations and advice

IDK why it would be any different on a white car, but Xpel is top notch film. I'd say go for it.

$1700? Wow....
I had the nose and other key areas of my replica Cobra covered with a clear bra. IIRC it was less than $400 and that is not a simple car to cover. They sell DIY kits, no 928 listed on their site since they haven't done one yet.

It is my understanding that they do not recommend clear bra's on anything other than factory paint. When I had my 2008 Cayman done they warned me that if any of the paint was not original they could not guarantee it would not come away with the bra when it was removed.

I have only used the 3m film it has not changed color or gotten foggy since I used it, 10 years old on my 88 S4.
I have seen other films that will turn foggy or cloudy .
That said IDK anything about the film your asking about nor how long it will last.
if it was me I would only use the 3M brand of film.

I have the 3m film on my grand prix white 87, and at certain angles it does look slightly yellow. But not enough to bother me. No film is 100% optically clear.
And like mentioned above, if your paint is not OEM it will likely come off with the film.
My paint is not OEM, but I figure if I ever peel it off I'm probably painting anyway.
But 1700, wow that's a chunk of change.

I have the Xpel film installed on my car. People do not even realize it is on the car until I point it out. My car is a bit of a garage queen in that I do not have a lot of opportunities to get out and drive it, so as you would expect it looks exactly the same as the day that I had it installed. I got a custom installation, front bumper, full hood, fenders a bit past the headlights and mirrors for $900. It was going to be another $600-$700 to extend the material to the front edge of the doors. That would have been ideal as there would have been no visible material edges but I could not justify the extra cost.
