Default Rear main seal replacement and...

Hi guys,

My question sort of drowned in another thread.

1. Do I have to drain the engiine oil before I replace the seal - the car istilted pretty good since only the front is raised. I dont want an oil mess in the garage

2. Would you put some of the special Porsche Opti spline grease between the TOB and fingers of the PP?

Have a great weekend,
¨

you should not have to drain the oil,
if oil comes out then drain off about a 1 quart
Yes a lil bit of lube on the fingers wont hurt.

NOTE use a tooth brush to coat the splines of the discs and the stub shaft with the sticky hi temp grease
