Default MY 85, thermostat seal

Is there any way to remove the inner rear seal which seams to be screwed in (as per new seal) without removing the water bridge, I have a new one to replace it with.

It is just pressed in there, use a flat screwdriver and mallet to deform it inwards then grab it with needle nosed pliers and yank it out.

Thank you, I did exactly that and success it's out. I did not want to damage threads if there was any.
