Default Porsche Tech Session West Chester, Pa

May 2, Dougherty's 8:30 - 2

Be there or be square.

Seriously, for $20 you get to hangout with other Porsche owners, consume all the doughnuts & coffee you can process

and your car will be put up on the lift for an exam..

This is 15 minutes form my house and they did the inspection/emissions on my car. I'll have to stop by.

I'd be there, except I have a commitment to drive disabled Afghanistan 'warriors' to the event for them in Media that morning. Oh - also, the buyer for my GTS is arriving that afternoon, and it needs no maintenance before it heads to Oregon.

Great idea, and I wish it we'd have had this kind of event organized a few years ago, when I had two 928's in the garage! WELL DONE.

Is this at Dougerty's auto at West Chester? If I can pick up my car from Stan (MrMerlin) before then, I will go also. Do I need reservation or just show up with cash and an empty stomach?

Aww, man. Too many busy weekends over the last month. This weekend is strictly at home.

What if I don't want the privilege of paying them $20 to put my car on a lift so they can sell me work........ I mean "exam".

Is this a PCA thing, or just something that Doughertys is doing?

May be fun to stop by. I have a friend who just got a 944 turbo and probably warrants a nice look over.

And as someone mentioned to me in a PM. NO, it wasn't Robin who I check with! That's Otto's Boss!

That's a long drive for a doughnut my friend ! Understood.

I recently (after Frenzy) had a leaking CV boot..didn't want to be embarrassed on the lift Sat. Removed the 1/2 shaft, replaced the clamps and had to de-grease the entire area. Good to go though.

I still haven't cleared this with my Boss

I got back a little bit ago. It was a tech inspection for a Riesentöter DE at Pocono. Got to meet a few good RTR folk with 911s, caymans and boxsters, plus got to watch a Ferrari 360 servicing.

While I was not registered for the DE, I gladly paid the $20 donation for the tech inspection. Fun to walk around with a few guys who haven't seen a 928 and look around. Helga passed tech inspection with flying colors, and I think the guys loved seeing one of these in the metal.

And as a parting note, they thanked me for coming, then told me to go "drive the hell out of her". On a sunny warm day like this? Absolutely!
