"Would a leak in the vacuum line lead to a high AFR? "
Short answer: yes.
I don't have enough experience with the 928's vacuum system to know where it pulls vacuum for the heater controls, but I'm going too soon bc I have to hunt down a combination of misbehaving heater controls and an oddball idle. Neither makes the car unusable, just occasionally misbehaved, and probably related.

#Awesome. Well played.

Any vacuum leaks aren't good and may have an influence on driveability. That said, I wouldn't expect these vacuum leaks alone to be significant enough to affect your car in the ways that you describe. Fuel pressure is dictated by vacuum, but it would take a significant intake leak or many smaller ones for the FPR to be affected. This has been my experience. I'd bet your fuel pressure is still close to 30psi, but there's only one way to know for sure.
