Initial check of my gears were good (so I was told by my neighbor who works for a well known German dealership in West Chester.)
However, I really got into the job today and found the right gear is good, but the left is worn. Smooth to almost a mirror finish. Was one changed out on last belt change, who knows. The coating is still on the other cam gear.
Distributor cap. Not sure I need to change these. Probably should.
I shouldn't be surprised at a couple of my exhaust bolts breaking off. I should have put new ones on. That wasn't smart.
I'm running with you with cam gear/TB change on my 91 auto.
Everything is stripped but I'm sure you'll finish ahead of me as I'm always slowed down by cleaning stuff up and asking newbie questions here (my first belt change). Also waiting for some replacement washers to arrive that I either lost in disassembly or were suspiciously absent (tensioner push pin).
Rebuilt tensioner arm with new roller and idler, may remove and rebuild the tensioner today if wife allows garage time.
Work the weekend so no progress on car until Monday. Tough get time...selling house, house showings, two and four year old, wife, large yard, etc. You all know what im talking about.
