Max battery height for 78 Porsche 928
Hi
Just bought the cover for the battery box (928 611 017 01), the one that is bolted on at the top of the battery box. I am wondering based on this, what is the max height I can have on the battery and still get the cover on? Must the battery be flush with the battery box edge?

posting photos is always a good thing,
since you have an early car it would be wise to document this.
That said you should be looking for a situation where the battery cover is closed,
and the positive terminal has a plastic cover over it ,
and there is clearance between the battery and the metal cover,
and you have the battery hold down properly installed.
NOTE running without a battery hold down can cause a short if the car goes over a bump it can strike the bottom of the cover
