Well, it is number 18, the 8th "production" car.

There were real prototypes before, as listed into "Project 928".
I would be curious to know if any prototype has survived.

Go to 928 Classics website and there is a tremendous amount of history there. Also, yes, it is vin number 18 (Euro) but 8th car made. I believe it is one of the preproduction press cars.

The article might be great but that car is way to expansive in my opinion. How many previous owner?? 15 or so?? Replaced fenders due to rot, none matching number engine, interior replaced and who knows what else has been happened to that car.

I understand and will be all with you if it comes to originality, if this car would be all original maybe even a so called barn find sitting somewhere for the past 20/30 years but at least all original.

My question; what justifies the asking price??

Rich

I agree Rich. The car has an interesting history - However the car has lost most its value and historical relevance due to neglect and non original parts, imo.

Might be an interesting project at 1/5 of the price if it could be brought back to matchig numbers.
