Default What is this wire for?

And what does it attach to? It is blue with a green stripe. I am guessing A/C related. A/C has never worked for me. If it was disconnected intentionally, why would that be? 86.5 auto

There should be a male wire coming up from the AC compressor. Connect them and start the car, turn on the AC and see if the AC clutch engages. Look through the freezer dryer window (front of radiator) and see if there are any bubbles from freon being in the system.

The A/C power supply wire is black and comes from the 14 pin connector so that is not what this is. Can't help further than that though.

Also, don't go connecting wires just because someone on the internet said so. Get a test light and see if that wire has switched or constant power first.

IIRC that wire has something to do with a trailer connection,
Porken mentioned it a year ago.
Maybe an extra cooling signal.

Stan is right on the $ as I recall, as that connection is near the 14 Pin and not the front of the engine.
