Default New GTS to join the real GTS

I was fortunate enough to have my name drawn in the recent PCA drawing for the opportunity to purchase one of the 59 60th anniversary GTS Club Coupes. I was even more fortunate to have a wife that said, "let's do it". All that and she says no way we are selling our 928 GTS. WOW. So today, we went in to the dealer and spec'd out our order. It will be one of the last units built and delivered in late October. Since my other GTS is a Roger box, I decided to make this one a manual. Rumor has it, the 2016 model year may be the final year for normally aspirated engines and the manual transmission. Looking forward to having the "bruise" package in the garage - Black & Blue...

Thanks Tony - I've been admiring your 50th. We are moving to Texas next year, so hoping to make it down your way soon.

Congrats! I think the car in the pic you posted was at the Amelia Island Concours... absolutely gorgeous car! Will go great with the real GTS.

You are correct - PCA & PCNA built the first one as a 2015 Model Year and it has been making the rounds at various events. It will b given away to one lucky PCA member this fall. The other 59 are 2016's and will be built in June, July and August. I am grateful for the opportunity to own this one and am hoping it will become an instant classic.

many congrats; its becoming quite a trend for 928 owners to have a 991 in their stable.

How's my stock options honey?

Hmmm ... I haven't bought a car for a while. Looks like a nice combo.

You 'won' the chance to spend $100+K?

Note to self - don't enter the next PCA drawing.

Good call on keeping the 'real' GTS!

Congratulations! Beautiful car, and it will go well with it's brother GTS.

I'm envious for sure. IIRC the color is "Club Blau" and is limited to these 60 cars.

Here are a couple of photos of the GTS Club Coupe at the Daytona Rolex 24 Hour Race:

You are a fortunate man! I love the 991s. Hope to drive one someday. If I had the means one would be sitting alongside the S4.

David,

Thanks for the pictures - I prefer seeing it in natural light versus the press photos that are mostly out there.
