Man, what a pretty car! I love Just Peachy, but will certainly miss Just Beachy. Hope the new owner will participate here in the 928 Forum.

Hi all. Thanks for the good words. Tony is just as nice and helpful in person as he has been over the phone. I wish we could have had more time to spend with Tony and take his american muscle 928 out for some tire spin. My son and I had a great ride back to Denver with no incidents. Only issue besides a delayed flight was getting around San Antonio during rush hour. This GPS app. called waze took us all the way east through Austin and we didn't get to Sweetwater until after midnight. I was surprised at how slow people were driving in Texas. I seemed to pass people like they were standing still going 10-15 over the limit. Front end has a shake between 70 and 80, so over 80 was much better for cruising. Took it over 100 several times and hit 130 on a smooth stretch of Texas pavement. The 928 is very smooth at these speeds. Didn't want to get pulled over without a car registered to me and unknowingly, I forgot the title and all the paperwork with Tony. I Could have had some splanin to do. Didn't have any weather until I hit the Colorado boarder. At the top of Raton pass We drove into a monsoon of rain and thought we might float right off the road with those 285's on the rear. One of the wettest spring and summers I can remember here in Colorado. Now to make my wife happy, I need to sell a couple of 1985 Supra's and clean out the garage. So I better get going, but will be checking in looking for answers to some of the many questions I will have.

I was lucky enough to meet Tony yesterday. We had conversed over the build and on threads but it is always nice to put a face to a name. He was very nice and had his gorgeous 50th anniversary 911 at the event. The last person I expected to see in CT was Tony but I am glad I had the opportunity to meet him.

My only regret was not buying the car from him when I had the chance I have no doubt you have a fantastic car. Drive it in good health. My son is now pushing me to allow him to drive mine. LOL

Congrats on a great purchase!

You'll have no problem selling the Supras. Here's my '84.

Nice Supra George. You a member of celicasupra? The problem is I don't want to get rid of the Supra's. I know they don't qualify as an exotic sports car and will never increase in value since they always start right up, rarely complain and have owners that are cheaper then 928 owners. I also have a basement full of parts I need to get rid of as well, so if you ever need anything, just let me know.

Thanks. It's a 15 footer...

I am on the forum, but not terribly active.

I've owned this car since '87 when my dad bought it for me for college (he had an '83 L-type that he bought new). It has 230K miles now, getting tired, but has served me very well. I gave it back to him in 2001 and he drove it occasionally, but didn't dote over it as I would have. I got it back when he died in 2013 and it wasn't running. Turned out to be the ECU. So now it has a bunch of new parts as well.... who'da thunk it would have been the ECU? Now it has new brakes, axles, alternator, etc.

It's a solid car, but it needs all the standard trim stuff that is NLA, so I'll never be able to get it to the level I would want without a garage full of that stuff that's likely part of your collection of stuff.

If I needed another project, I'd hit you up for your inventory, but I really just need to get over the sentimentality and sell it.

I have a PCA bud here that's into them, so if you want to liquidate your parts in one shot, I'm sure he'd be interested.

Sorry for the no replies as of late, have been up in CT visiting the folks. Thanks for all the kind words and super glad this 928 went to a great home. Ran into Anthony (RL handle: Cobalt) and his son at a recent CT PCA event and what a pleasure it was to meet them. Looking forward to seeing Tom start a new thread/journal on his beautiful GTS T
