TT suspension

Have to admit I didn't use a torque value when I tightened the grub screw in question during the 5-speed conversion, just tightened it until it "felt right."
Hopefully someone will chime in with the correct response.
Kind regards,

thx Constantine.........I tightened the grub screw with Loctite as recommended in the WSM (theres reference to a self-locking screw on early models). Clutch is next when I have a gap in the work week

Malcolm, sorry to keep dumping in this thread, just wanted to finish up the thought about -07 vs. -09 release arms. Here's the arm that had been in Mark's GT- based on the receipts it's the original arm, though the car got a new PP/disc/TOB at 84K miles. So 80K miles with an -07 arm and a GTS release bearing.

The project is complete and the GTS is rolling once again.
To recap I fully rebuilt the TT with Constantines Super Bearings and replace the TT shaft with Greg Browns new and improved piece. I also replaced the complete clutch assembly (Pressure plate, TO brg, Clutch plate, guide tube and lever with busing) the stub shaft is also a new Greg Brown piece, pilot brg and rear main seal.
The results are a butter smooth clutch and a vibration free TT through out the rev range.
Many thx to all who contributed to my thread(s) and PMs

thank you Constantine.........the TT was absolutely the cause of issues I had before. It was so bad it really affected the clutch and in retrospect I probably could have installed the old clutch with the rebuilt TT but thats not how I roll
