I'm very tempted by this one. Would love to hear the experts thoughts. Anyone know this car?

sounds like a good honest listing of the car. Also, GT's are coveted models (especially 89s). I think the price seems fair for the car as it is described as well sorted. Get a ppi and go for it. Drive it too. Where in PA are you?

I'm in the NW burbs of Philly. Looks like there are a few well respected 928 aficionados in the area which gives me some confidence that I'll have local resources I can reach out to if I get in over my head. thanks for the feedback.

looks good from the pictures, price is good too,
if you drive it and take care of it you should get a good return if you decide to sell it .

Not bad. I'm a fan of the grey interior... I like the fact that the dash is grey as well rather than black.
I'd like to see the receipt for the $8K worth of work. I asked him to post a pic.

Waiting on service records to be faxed to me now!!! Fingers crossed it doesn't get snapped up before I can get a PPI done. Any members in the Cincy area?

Looks like a very nice car , go for it . Expect to still put some money into it as various small issues arise. IMHO the 91 GT is car to get , unless you need a auto trans .

Looks nice, although I'm not a fan of gray. Having been in storage for 8 years (until 2012), I'd want to know what was done before it was stored (e.g. coolant), and when it came out of storage. It is unfortunate that the ad isn't more detailed - it's had the same owner for over 11 years, so I assume that there are records with the car.
A thorough PPI (and Carfax or similar) is a must, especially when bodywork has been done. If it checks-out, the price doesn't seem unreasonable, although I would expect to have to spend more money to get it fully up to date.
Good luck!

Beautiful car, love the color combo. It'll never be worth less than $27K again, someone oughta buy it and give it the midlife crisis service it needs, then enjoy it. Little downside on this one.

My 91 GT was in storage for over 10 years, but was properly serviced. The car was stored with 100% antifreeze (no water) and showed ph of 6-7. When we did a TB and water pump, the water pump looked like new and no issues with head gaskets. That is probably the biggest concern being stored that long. Also my car had been stored with no gas, so no issues with fuel system. I've put 10k mikes in last two years with no issues.

Got the service records for when it came out of storage. All work done at a local Porsche dealer. Ouch! They replaced battery, TB, coolant pump, rollers and and bushings. Radiator was leaking so it was replaced as well as the thermostat. New fluids, new tires, misc. switches and rubber hoses. Looks like the PO gave them a blank check to get it back up to snuff. This was 2 years ago. Since then it's had the a/c compressor replaced, window switches, new keys and master, one tire pressure sensor.
Only thing not addressed in the records I have is that it looks like it needs a new clutch.
Seller says he has records all the way back to 1998.
