Nice car. Looks like aftermarket radiator. Substantial wear and a tear in the Driver's seat (left bolster). Rust in the engine cross member driver's side mounting bolts. Makes me wonder about possible rust along the rear quarter window openings (not always easy to see). If no rust, then this is a good car if there are maintenance records and a good carfax. Love the color combo.
For $27k either I would fly there immediately after purchase to personally inspect with right to refuse if I discovered too many things wrong, or I would send/find a knowledgable 928 tech to check it over well. $10k on basic maintenance issues are in store (full service, TB/WP/Upholstery repair, minor rust repair etc.)
Greg Brown believes the 91GT to be the best overall 928.
Good luck, the car looks right and is pretty in the pics.
EDIT: I was typing my response while you posted yours. If no rust issues, I'd say its a fine car.

"All of the electrical features work with the exception of the clock. It runs but the **** to adjust it is broken." ****? What ****?
JBT - feel free to use me as a resource (pm if you want) when it comes to what you should look at/for with a '91 GT.

Thanks for all of the comments and input guys. It's very helpful. Seller can't get a PPI until next Tuesday, so i wait. Someone may snap it up before then, but I can't pull the trigger without a PPI. Seller sounds like a straight shooter, but I view a PPI as good, cheap insurance and a must.

Ab-so-lutely. At $27K I don't think anyone would snipe it sight unseen if there are any visible issues at all, but if it checks out on PPI I think $27K is a good ballpark for this car.

send him a 100 dollar deposit to hold the car for you pending a PPI
refundable if the PPI is not good.

If the car has no rust issues, no accident history, and all original paint, its worth $27k.
If its had any paint, then its more like a $22k car IMO, which I'm sure will cause people to disagree with me . This is a very comparable car to the 91GT cobalt which is being so well documented here, except that car is cobalt blue (super-rare and desireable).
The problem here is the amount of hours of labour required to make it into a really good example. Ask Rob Edwards how many hours he's into the cobalt GT for so far - because this car needs all the same work doing to it (seat repair, carpets out clean, cleaning everything in the engine bay, replace gaskets/reseal intake manifold, cams etc.), and thats without the cost of parts and specialists.
If OTOH you're looking for a late GT to do that stuff to, and enjoy yourself for a few years, then even at $27k you'll probably break even after 3-4 years ownership (i.e. by then the value of the car will match the cost of purchase + remediation). Which isn't a bad prospect - lots of examples don't have the potential for originality that this car has. If you're fastidious, methodical and experienced at preservation/restoration or concours, this could be a great buy.
Eagle-eyed readers will note that its got some extra leather interior (stitching on the rear quarter panel, and rear AC console), so probably also has leather headliner etc. After initially thinking the seller has a crappy camera or the classic-grey is filthy, I'm wondering whether the colour is either Carrara Grey (rare), or a to-sample one. Door jamb sticker would shed some light on that.
Options: (I'm guessing it has some 5-digit pack codes on the sticker too which account for the leather pack interior - which don't show up in PET)

Looks like you're right - I had the impression it was lighter, but after some quick image searching, I was wrong.
Still a nicely unmolested looking car - and having a dealership history to-date helps too. There might be a few dirty secrets, but in my experience, the dealerships might make/break small mistakes, but will generally be using new factory parts so there's less potential to really screw up stuff, especially on the wiring side
