Looking to add some retro paint / graphics and wheels to my black 84 Euro. Please share your ideas, preferably with pics!

if you want the retro look, strip the front and back spoiler, and add 16 inch phone dials.

I'm looking to do something more along the lines aesthitically of what Singer Vehicle Design does to a 911. Tastefully done graphics and wheels. I bought the car with mechanical upgrades and have two low mile highly original cars, so just looking to have this one stand apart in a 70 / 80s vernacular.

steel wheels with full covers? I like the stainless moon style. Modify the back to look like a wagon and put "woody" applique on the sides. Personally, if I ever repaint mine I will skip the base coat/clearcoat paint and return to a good old single coat paint.

That's a bit too retro! I'm looking at more 70s / 80s. Don't want to change the body style. I've always liked the Carrera and Turbo decals on the 911s, but there was never an option like that on the 928, at least that I have found. It needs to be retro, but tasteful.

Gold BBS mesh wheels are very period correct and IMO look great on black cars.

Graphics should be similar color as wheels. Racing stripes, while also period correct, are perhaps a bit gauche - but the Porsche script which was a dealer option is not.

Have you seen the thread on the 928 RS concept that "Fixer" (Matt) did?

It's a loooooooong one, but great reading.

He had some really cool graphics made up.

He had a few other ideas that he didn't go with.

"Porsche" in various typefaces in various places, stripes of different widths and patterns, a lot of really cool ideas.
You are going to have to do some digging to find all the different ideas, but it's a really fun read:

Thanks, I will check it out. I do like the idea of the Porsche script or some type of stripe.

Haven't set one. Just want to get the look right. The wheels are really the key. I'm thinking of going orange for the accent color.

Ive always been a fan of the Fuchs (polished with black inlay) but I haven't yet seen a pair with the correct offsets. They're not true to the car, but I think it'd look cool

I think so too. Does anyone know if they are made with the proper offsets?

If you specifically want graphics, I vote for shadow Pascha pattern along the lower half, fading out completely at about the line where the rub strips reach.

(shadow = slightly darker shade of whatever the base colour of the car is. e.g. very light grey for a Grand Prix White car)

edit: In fact, the heck with it.. black/white pascha print all over the car in large-size print (e.g. the big black blocks maybe 12" wide). If you can find a vinyl wrap in pascha pattern, even better

Interesting idea. I am going to look into that. Do you have any photos of this along the lower half. Thanks. I do have Pascha seats.
