Default New Porsche Classic Radio/GPS

The headline says its for the 911, but the text says it's for all the classic watercooled cars, too.

Pricey, but still cool. I'd happily scrap my aftermarket bling headunit.

How can anyone see that tiny screen located below the dash?

That's a distracted driver accident just waiting to happen!

I still want to make a 3D print of a miniature dash pod that can house a navigation system like Tomtom inside. To be placed in the centre of the dash against the window.

That unit has been available for some time and I have quoted a few but at that price there are plenty of alternatives for a lot less $

Looks OK, but with cnc and 3d printing maybe better results are possible with a normally priced head unit fitted with a new face?

$1340 USD seems pricey.

Default Modern radio for retro vehicles from Porsche

Inevitably, this is "for the 911." It would look great in our cars, too. Anyone know if that'd be plug-compatible with period radios in 928s?

I researched this last year, from what I can remember it's only available in Europe, and the cost was about in the $500-$700 range.

Nice, although it may not be "plug" compatible and given the low power of the stock 928 Amp that may be a good thing
I'm sure it could be adapted into our cars, if it were available here in the States.

BT Phone is a must w/ a manual trans and not too shabby in an Auto either

EDIT: just noticed there are two threads on this

Yeah. I really like the Bluetooth phone in my 6spd VW CC. That car was really quiet, too. I put a Kenwood head into my 928 with Bluetooth but people can't really hear me and there's no extr mic plug on the one I bought.

One might think I'd have noticed that...and I looked.

1,184 euros or $1,344 at today's rates. I think that price is for later model than what brochure shows.

My read was that an older unit has been available for a while, but this is the first one with Bluetooth integration.

But it's still a lot of money.
