Yup. Mark you are correct. This one might be a scam also:

GTS listed for $18k. Searched the pictures and found them for a listing priced at $33.5k 4 weeks ago. Same VIN and description. Seems odd.

Here is the response I got.

Hello,
Here is some photo with my Porsche 928 GTS, the car look and work great, engine also run perfect. The last service was made in December where I change all consumable like oils , filter and brake. Everything works in the car lights, gauges, radio, windows, locks, a/c blows ice cold, etc. It has no leaks or drips and does not smoke at all, slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions with a clear title free of liens. It has new Michelin tires.
Regards Thomas

He's gonna have to work harder if he expects people to fall for his scam. I'm surprised these guys think this will work.

Boy am I ready to pull the trigger, lol. Got this today:
Hello John,
I just got your message regarding my Porsche. Please note that the location is not shown correctly on Carsforsale that's my old residence. I am selling it because I've relocated in Europe and it is too expensive to import it here ( I recently moved back to the London UK ) . It was bought in the USA and runs just perfect, looks great in and out as shown in the pictures, no smoking owner, no mechanical flaws, accident free & clear HPI. It is still in the USA at a warehouse in Fairfield - OH, ready to be delivered to it's buyer with all the documents.
Considering the offers I've received I'm asking $5,000 and this includes delivery to your location. It's ready to be delivered with all registration documents, service records, original invoice, both car keys and the bill of sale.
Because I am not able to close the deal myself, I want to use a third party to handle the sale. This way we are both protected.
Let me know if you’re interested and if you have questions.
Regards Thomas

I am 3 miles from Fairfield OH.......

Reply, and let him know that you live close to Fairfield.
Ask him if you can arrange to go see it at the warehouse.

But he's using a 3rd party to handle the money for your protection as well as his. Unless that 3rd party is going to meet you at this warehouse and hand you the keys when you hand him the money, how does he think anyone is going to fall for this? "Here, send money to this random person who definitely won't just give me the money despite the fact that there is no car." This nonsense actually works?

I ran into a scammer selling a Cayenne when I was in the market for one a few years ago. This guy actually put some effort into it, and I got emails about an upcoming military deployment, so on and so forth. I don't remember where the car was, but I had a friend literally the next town over. When I said they could come look at it, suddenly he had it with him at some random military base - one at which I had a buddy stationed. Needless to say, the emails stopped forthwith.

Seriously, John, call him on his claim about the warehouse.
Nicely request for him to allow you to go and take a look at it.
It will be very interesting to hear his response to that...

Go to youtube and search Dr. Phil and catfish.
It'll make you lose faith in the human race. I guarantee there are idiots falling for these scams multiple times a day.

I guess if you want to believe in something badly enough, you can ignore almost any warning bell. It really makes me want to f*** with this scammer though.

Well, I wonder if he could use a DDos Attack on his server? Google it.

Having said that I'm not a fan of a site that lets people list/sell cars w/ no vin. If you read their "terms and conditions" they take no part in any transaction and disclaim any responsibility, probably not unlike ebay or any other car site. Of course. They cannot police all the stuff that gets listed, there wouldn't be a site if they had to do that.

13 has a point.
