Default Extra Part From Rear End 1985

I've been reading post for a long time, but I finally need some help, so I thought I would try posting something. I pulled the automatic transmission out of 1985 last winter and had it rebuilt. Meantime, I cleaned up all the little parts. Summer came with deck projects, etc. I am just getting it back together now and I cannot figure out where this little part goes. Any help would be appreciated. Its gotta have something to do with the emergency break cables, I am thinking. Thanks.

P.S. Hopefully the photo posts, I think I did it right

Thanks guys. I should have taken more photos during disassembly. Of course, all of the sandblasting, wire wheeling, and painting did not help my marks for right and left either and I had to resort to trial and error. Almost back together.

It's one of those redundant extra parts porsche likes to use to inflate the cost of their cars....you don't need it

I've notice a lot of that. Where you would see one bolt on an american car, there are 3 on a Porshce
