Default Lost a rub strip...

Windy day on the highway today and my drivers side door rub strip decided to come loose and go flying off the side of the road.

I can tell that there is a section where the double sided tape is peeling on the passenger side as well. So now I have a choice... delete the rub strips or find a replacement for the drivers door.

I've been reading some old threads and trying to decide if I like the car better with or without, but in the meantime does anyone have a line on a driver's door rub strip?

The front I guess popped out and the stud at the back of the door snapped off. No idea how this happened since there was no indication that the rub strip was loose and I wasn't traveling particularly fast.

I heard it snap back and hit the rear quarter.

If I delete the strips I'll just temporarily plug the holes until the car is painted.

*edit: the car is an early 86

Let me check, I may have a pair of door rubstrips from my 86.5. I'll post here later today.

Year is 86, color is dark blue, code 347.

I would be happy to buy one from someone even if it's not the correct color.

Thanks for the help!

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. After searching all my stuff I remembered sending these off. I hope one of the other leads works out.

Not to hijack, but...

Same thing happened to me, except it's the passenger side door molding that came off on mine.

Still looking for one in Guards Red. Tried 928 Intl. Can get one locally and have it painted, just trying to save a step if someone has a red one available.
