Default Mecum Auction 86 928S

A very nice 86 928S is coming up at auction Feb 27/28 in Las Vegas. part of a private collection being sold. Approx 230 cars from the Rogers Collection. Check it out at Mecum auctions websight.

It has Anti-Lock brakes too, their listed and I can see the control unit.
Also an interesting Full leather color combo interior.

It was in a museum collection since at least 2007 so it has been sitting.

it is an 86, not 86.5. You can tell by the jack points - on an 86.5, you'd be able to see them from the side, they would be lower in the rear.

Very nice.

Dave, antilock is standard after 85.
Mid year 86 it changed to less encoder teeth.

I thought the 86 had the 16V engine and the 86.5 had the 32V engine and all the S4 running gear?

85 had 32V engine; 86 saw some minor upgrades, 86.5 got more of the S4 mods. At least in USA.

ROW is more complicated with twin distributor 16V offered in many markets instead of or in parallel with 32V.
