Fred R- Thanks for the info

JHoffman,77Tony- That helps I have a 997gt3rs (manual seats) and a 997 turbo cab (power seats). So that should be an easy test, I assume the powered ones will sit higher in the car. One CA shop told me he had an upholstery guy that could shave an inch off the foam seat cushion, and it would not be a visible mod? 997 seats are comfortable If I could get them covered in a matching green leather that would be interesting.

i'll post some photos, thanks again.
hardbacks installed. T

Sweet new ride! Congrats. I had seen that one online and loved the color. I'm also a new GTS owner but waiting for the spring to have it shipped.

When you first drove it what surprised you the most?

Cheers and have fun!

Awesome GTS, Wimbledon Green is a sweet color on a 928. Congrats and Welcome. And judging from Michael's pics, looks like he's moved up some as well. Good for him.

Thanks again for the info.... trying to downsize the photos to post.

Chris- My biggest surprise really was the engine/trans combo gearing felt like it was meant to be as opposed to an afterthought. Also how tight and smooth the car felt for its age, mine has the sport suspension which I like. Its a much different feel than the 951's or the GT3, its a great ride super solid. They don't make them like this anymore.

Good luck with yours!

Gary Knox: I'm trying to join the 928 OC but I cannot get past the bot-buster. i've tried many, many times, and apparently am of inferior intelligence (how smart can these bots be?). Frustrated. I simply cannot get through to the organization. My email address is davidbarry215@yahoo.com. I just bought a pristine black on black 5-speed 1985 S, which is now in Florida, where I bought it, awaiting completion of a complete rebuild of the a/c. I am planning, on advice obtained here, to pep up the car with a Porken chip, an X-pipe, and an 87 fuel pump. I have not yet taken delivery of the car, and figure I might as well have the mods done at the same shop that's doing the a/c and fixing an electrical gremlin. thanks in advance for help penetrating the 928 OC security wall!

I just sent this to one of our tech guys. Captcha was just implemented this past week and we've had a couple of issues. We'll either get it fixed or turn it off. I'll contact you privately as soon as I know more. Thanks! Jarrod Wise 928 Registry Chair

Wonderful! And it gives me another nudge towards making sure my next car has some color to it.

How about posting some interior and exterior pics of the car?
