Default Needs gas pedal to start

I know there are a LOT of hard start threads. Hot, cold, sitting, not sitting... I've got a weird one that fits a lot of the search results but none exactly (from a very quick search.)

Symptoms began after a spirited highway run yesterday: When starting (hot, cold, this morning after a sub-32f night) it needs the gas pedal or it stumbles and dies. Can't even really call it "hard" starting - it's easy, just poke the gas. Once started it idles fine, don't have to hold the pedal more than a second. Guessing FPR/damper? Pump getting lazy? So many things it could be.

It could be your IAC not opening enough and starving the engine of air.

I suggest to start with the easy stuff first.

Run the car in the dark with the intake tubes removed,
look for jumping sparks on all of the wires and coil tops.

Add a bottle of Techron to the fuel every 3K miles.
You could have a leaking injector.

Pull the vacuum hose off the dampers and the FPR smell for fuel.

NOTE if you smell fuel vapors then I suggest to replace all 3 parts.

Get a hammer and test the system
