Best of luck! Take a wide mouth jar along. There are long stretches of that drive with no rest areas.

Doc, do you have ski racks on it yet? Someplace I have a set of aftermarket 928 2-pair racks that hang off the left side of the hatch frame... Used them on my Saab Turbo way back when. Not sure how they would work in winged 928 cars though. The Saab wing was the same width as the hatch.

I suspect there are a lot of 928s that never get more than 100 miles from their garage. Their owners are missing half of the beauty if these cars. They are just as spectacular at eating up a long day of Interstate as they are cornering on twisty 2 lanes. Enjoy!

But please remember the safe part of your trip ends when you climb out of your 928 and strap on your skis. There is a good reason why Colorado has so many ortho docs.

Some day I hope I have the confidence in my car to take a real road trip like this, or Brad's recent adventure. I can see the cars are just perfect for it...once they're whipped into shape...

Holding 80 is hard! Mine kept wanting to creep up to 90+. Congrats on your right foot control!

I have another son's family in GA that is going to need a visit in 2015 so I can see a new grandson. I may double the car's mileage in one year. Just need to get a more generous insurance policy re: mileage. Heck, you are only old once!
