Hi everyone and to start off Merry Christmas to all.
One my gifts was a new Kenwood KDC-BT558U single din car deck which I connected yesterday and all works, except that the radio will not sit snug against the plates of the console, there seems to be at max 1/4 inch space. The problem is that it doesn't go deep enough, do I have to remove the square U shape clamp which held the original in place or should it be there with this new deck ?

It turns out that some of the big harnesses was in the way. Not easy trying to see on the passenger side by leaning over the centre console from the driver's side since the car is parked in my tiny garage of 11 x 19 and I can only open the driver's side door.
