Seat back installation help
A quick question...I am replacing my driver's seat back and have removed it correctly and started to install the replacement. I think in the reinstall I got the seat back cams misaligned, as the seat does not go all the way back and the white dot on the upright support is not aligned with the white drawn line.
What's the best way to get the alignment correct? (I'd rather not take the seat back off as it was difficult to get the wire latch hooks on!)
Thanks!
Jason

Here is a picture of the side hinge with the white pen alignment stripe. It was aligned when I removed the previous back, but I think inserting the new back moved the uprights.

Jason, I am sorry I cannot help with the late model power seats. Maybe someone who has taken these apart will chime in. The OB manual seats that I have experience with are a little different.
Saying that........ the post/nipple that is on the seat back, between the white dot and the white line on the base. Does that push in? Does it belong in a groove in the base?
EDIT:After studying the picture further it looks like that post is what guides the forward/rearward stop.

I figured it out. When you rotate the square pin in the cam, it adjusts the seat back position. I ended up taking the seat back off and rotating the cam with the pin temporarily inserted so that the alignment was set correctly on both sides.
The good news is I should be able to get the seat back attached no problem. The bad news is the wiring, but that is another post.
