...hope they are 928s.

From the picture above, it looks like Rockport gets the sun before the rest of us!

The convoy from DFW was "spirited". Excellent hotel, great food at the restaurant Tony selected, great group of folks. Marvelous weather forecast. This should be a very nice weekend!

Wish both you and Daphne could have made it, but there is always 3rd Coast in Nov About half of the group went up to the Texas Mile and the other half hung out in Rockport fishing, shopping etc. Dinner tonight at Cheryl's yum yum. T

I managed to play hookey from a project a few hours away so I could join the group for Saturday dinner. Special thanks to Tony for fitting me in, and to all the group for the warm welcome. This group is wonderful, the perfect friends and family really. Met some new-to-me folks and renewed acquaintances with others.

I made it back before 1am with no excitement. 5am wakeup this morning was a little earlier than I would have liked, but it was well worth the drive. My old tired butt is dragging a bit...

Thanks again!

Default My First

My first Spring Fling was a blast. Big thanks to Tony for putting this together.

I dragged the boat down and it ran perfectly which was a relief after such major surgery. Unfortunately the fish weren't biting, and it was a bit windy, but we had a fun time Saturday and I think I got Roger hooked on boating.

Hope everyone made it home safe.

Some Pics...

OK Here's some more...

My trip started with a traffic jam on the way to the rendezvous point...some idiot couldn't keep it straight..

but then came the fun part...

and the worst part...

but I landed in a sweet suite...

and watched the sun come up...

And the boats going out...

went out on a boat...that's me ...at day at sea...with no storms!

went and played with this...a storm.

had dinner with interesting folks (except for myself ) under the twinkling lites..

...and came home..(picture in above post)

The brothers-in LAW were out in full force this weekend. Darien, Cj82928 and I met 3 of Lee County's finest on the way home. For the most part, they were very pleasant, as were we, but they gave us each a souvenir to take home with us.

So sorry to hear that! Cindy and I made it to Houston with no LEO encounters, and most of it was triple digit. Then after a brief dinner with my daughter and her family, back on the road to home, again uneventful. Cindy did pick up some souvenirs, but her's were all purchased at a lot less cost than those given to you.

Well, I tried to mark them with Waze on my way back Sunday morning..... doesn't do much good if you guys were more than an hour after me. Being that the Texas Mile was the same weekend, I think they were ready for the returning hoard.
