Welcome Brian. If you're 70 miles North of Detroit that would put you roughly Flint-ish in location, right? There is a great group here in Michigan who are pretty passionate about their 928s. I'm sure you'll meet most of them at Sharks in Hell, if not sooner.

Default Making headway...

Everything under the hood is done for this year, TB, WP, fuel lines, vacuum lines, injectors cleaned, oil change, tune-up, anti-freeze change, all belts and powersteering hose.

Recently added some new rims.

Edit...pictures to large.

Getting ready to do the tie-rods and ball-joint boots (hence the two lugnuts on each front rim), put the chin spoiler back on and finish the rear hatch assembly (waiting on one part) and lube CV joints/reinstall boot clamps...and it will be time to sit down with the insurance man.

I can almost sense a ride in my future...

Brian.

If that ain't the truth...without this site a person would be lost.

Yes, just ordered a few little things from Rodger, talked to a nice young lady named Laura and told her what I needed, no problem, arrived yesterday and already have them installed. It's nice to have the rear hatch lock working correctly, PO had his mechanic cobbled it up instead of just buying the correct part.

Default Added some wax...

Time to add something here...

It will be nice to drive it, so the suspension will settle down. And then make the proper adjustments.

I'm pretty pleased with the chin spoiler repair, a couple more coats of black dye and it will be totally unnoticeable.

very nice. That car's color scheme is the twin of Wyattride's (Rick). It looks great. Rick's is the deepest and shiniest black I've ever seen on a car - mirror like finish. You might as him for his secret.

Well, the moment of truth finally arrived. A shake down run on pavement (our road is gravel, so speed along the way on my othe shake down run was minimal).

Anyhow, car preformed great. Stopped twice and checked under the hood, for leaking fuel lines...since I had replaced them during the winter...nothing!

Look...no flames...!!!

I was prepared though...

We, me and the car, didn't go to far, since my support team, wife, was away...and if I needed a tow...I'd be in trouble. Luckily, that wasn't the case and we made it round trip.

Another check before parking her in the garage...still no flames...lol

All's well that ends well.

Brian.

Hello and welcome!

I agree with Cameron. Do not start any 928 unless:

1.) The fuel lines have been changed
2.) The oil cooler lines have been changed
3.) The timing belt has been changed (if interference engine.)

I wish you lots of fun. :-) You will enjoy the journey like most of us here.

EDIT: Just saw the part about a fuel lines and timing belt. You're good to go!! Nice paint by the way!!

Car looks awesome Brian.

Like Ed (linderpat) said, yours is a twin (sort of) to mine as far as color combo and wheels. More like an older brother of mine. Paint looks very nice too!

Look'n great, bring her down to the D for a proper run and meet the other shark nuts

Second Wednesday night of the month or most weekend at our shark tank.
Also a few of us will be at the Waterford Hills Road Course with the local PCA (SEMPCA) on May 9th for a HPDE day.

Thanks guys. The car takes a nice, picture...but she has her flaws (paint-wise).

Yes Dave, I've been trying/meaning to stop by. Andrew sends me an invite each month, however, I'm involved with another nonprofit organization that meets on that same second Wednesday...but, I've been weaning myself from them and plan on stiopping in soon.

Brian.
