Radiator Sticker Replica (Input Needed)

Seems like a bit of interest in these stickers. I think that once I get the proof right, I'll do a small production run of High Voltage, and firing order stickers on gold. I ordered new stickers from Porsche a while back, and paid too much for them with shipping from Germany to not get the right stuff. I ordered as many of the various stickers for my car as I could get from Porsche. They're not on the car because a lot of the fonts are off, as well as the materials used to make them. That's what started me on this endeavor to begin with. So, before too long I'll have the right match and will let you guys know.

I have the Shell Stickers, four versions, replicated/duplicated in vinyl that go on the air box for the early cars and on the Cowl Cover for the later ones. I thought I had them all covered, but when I replaced the Cowl Cover on Randy C's 85, I think, right here in River City, I discovered that his original Cowl Cover has a fifth version of the sticker. He has promised to loan the old cover to me when I get ready to have more Shell Stickers made, which might be fairly soon since I am about out of the next to the last version of it. I don't know just what the extent is for use/MY of Randy's fifth version since it is still the only one I have ever seen.
Then, I have been working on replicating/duplicating the "foil" sticker for including with my replacement Spare Tire Covers. I put "foil" in quotes because I have learned that foil ends with the thickness of .005" and these stickers are .007" thick which means they are actually sheet.
In my search for first foil then sheet I looked for something like brass shim stock, but found that the color is off and the finish is not suitable. Then, on closer inspection of one of the Spare Tire Cover Stickers I had removed, by looking at the raw edge where it is torn I decided they are sheet aluminum with some kind of gold colored finish, probably paint.
I have not been able to find the correct material yet, but when I do I can have the artwork done for less than $100 and then I can have these screen printed for a nominal price since they will be printed at two or three at a time, then trimmed and probably clear coated with something. Anyone know the source for the correct sheet material?

OH! I see that you are missing your Cowl Cover entirely also and even your Cowl Seal. Darn; I wonder if Jerry Feather still offers his replicated Cowl Cover for the S4 version of the cars, the one with the cut-out for the intensive washer, and his replacement Cowl Seal. Well, yes he does. In fact I just put them in the mail for Bryan in Illinois for his 86, but that was the one without the provision for the intensive washer. Both versions of the Cowl Cover are available. In fact all four versions are available which includes the reverse form of both for the RHD cars.
I haven't bumped any of my threads lately, but just about all of my previously announced products, the ones that are finished, are still available.

PMB692, One additional thing you ought to investigate is just how many different versions there might have been of the stickers you are working to duplicate. I haven't paid much attention to the ones you are working with so don't have an idea; but I discovered that there are at least two different versions of the metal sticker for the Spare Tire Cover.
Just how thick is the material your stickers are printed on? Does the material come with adhesive on it or is that applied after they are printed and trimmed? Are you clear coating the sticker after being printed? If so, with what?
Your stickers looks real good, but just as you seem to suggest, everything needs to be just slightly bolder, except the red "Shazams," but including the border. And the border corner radius is a little off.

Yeah, I've seen a few variations of a couple of the stickers I'm working with. Getting the fonts right, as well as the corner radius is my top priority now. I mentioned in my first post about these that the adhesive was a "high temp" 3 M material. As for the exact thickness of the foil, I haven't mic'd it. It is slightly more sturdy than the original I took off the car. As for the finish, it's the same very durable process that's used on the metal data plates you see on things like military vehicles, large generators, and various forms of equipment. These things are "NOT" made on an ink jet printer.

Olmann, I see that you are a Stickler for Stickers. I also see, however, in your avatar that you are missing two of them. You are missing the Shell sticker and the Intensive Washer Stickers, both of which should be stuck on your Cowl Cover.
