Default Part number location on rear lower control arms

Does anyone have the location of where the part number is stamped on the rear, lower control arms? I can't seem to find it on either of mine, and I need to verify that I haven't swapped the left side to the right and vice versa.

Any quick visual cues to determine if they are mounted correctly in case the part number can't be read?

Cheers!
Carl

There aren't any AFAIK. One easy way is to put them so that Weissach joint nut is below the arm. Thats how factory installed those bolts. Another is to see outer bushings are above arm level, not below.

Thank you Erkka!

I thought it look odd but was fairly certain I had kept them "sorted". Time to go practice removing those darn things again I guess I'll take a picture and post it as they are now and maybe someone can verify if I actually messed up?

Cheers!

OK, here is a picture of the driver's side (left) rear lower control arm. From Erkka's explanation above, this would be an incorrect setup? The outer bushings are angled down in relation to the arm and the drop link mounting point is above the axle pin. So I am guessing that this should be moved to the passenger side? Disregard the corroded washer and bolt, they will be renewed

Cheers!

Yes, that's wrong.

Thank you Rob and Erkka!

So much for keeping my parts organized....I should be wearing a label that says "Dumba$$".
Thanks for the helpful info.

Cheers!

Dont be so hard on yourself,

Thanks Stan,

The one time I did not label a part, it got me, so it's a good reminder to not be lazy and label everything, even the seemingly obvious. I wonder how the ride would have been....

Cheers!
