Lh 2.2 86 differences issue with closed loop

Update
When I connect the Ox sensor the A/F jumps to 17 using closed loop chip.
I have traced all the Ox sensor wires and test port on front of motor no shorts and all wire have contanuity.
I have both a NB Air fuel gauge and an LM-1 so my readings are off of the Lm-1.
The chip I had in it worked fine before the tune A/F was spot on the biggest change besides the intercooler were the 36lb injectors.
Could the burn be bad, are the injectors to big for the 2.2?
My mileage is horrible with open loop and back fires occasional when in desal.
Till this gets corrected would I cause any issues with it in open loop get the Maf somewhat dialed in, you mentioned it has less effect up the line. My concern is detonation under partial boost not using the Wot switch.

Not knowing the state of modification of the car and it's history I can't really comment further.
36# injectors are no problem for a Sharktuner to cope with and obtain a good tune.
