Hi,
And thank you both for the feedback!
Samuel...
Do you know the original registration number of this car?
And regarding the Holbert car, it seemed to be a 928 S4 manual, did they take a late S2 auto and convert it? I thought Mark Kibort ended up with it and raced it for years. He said the engine was very strong and lasted many a race in his illustrious career. Am I mixing up 2 cars? Thanks so much for the help. And Rich, I am your friend...

Kibort's car the Holbert car just looked like an S-4.....preproduction made for the high speed runs was originally white as noted. And at a minimum had experimental brains.....they had two different gear ratio transmissions at Bonneville not knowing which 5 speed final drive would work best on the salt.

Thank you James for the clarification.
I assume it had an early version of the S4 engine in order to reach that high rate of speed tho...
Correct?

Sadly, I don't know much of the history of this prototype, for the moment.
I try to find a way to have access to Porsche's archives to know more about it, and the others cars.

I suppose the first registration was BB-PW ... but can not prove it for the moment.
